National Minimum Wage rates from 1 April 2018

 

National Minimum Wage for persons aged 25 and over

£7.83 per hour (from £7.50)

 

National Minimum Wage for persons aged 21-24 years

£7.38 per hour (from £7.05)

 

National Minimum Wage for persons aged 18-20 years

£5.90 per hour (from £5.60)

 

National Minimum Wage for young persons aged 16-17 years

£4.20 per hour (from £4.05)

(For workers above school leaving age but younger than 18) 

 

National Minimum Wage for apprentices

£3.70 per hour (from £3.50)

(For apprentices who are aged 16 to 18 or over 19 and in the first year of their apprenticeship)
